The Procare kit by Vaptio consists of an easy-to-use box and a no-mess clearomizer. The design is flawless, simple and original-looking, making it the ideal kit to enjoy any time, anywhere.

The Procare kit by Vaptio is a great choice for vapers who want a product with no fiddly settings but that delivers a high-quality vape. It doesn’t leak and is really practical, making it the best kit out there right now.

Vaptio’s Procare box is topped with a spring-mounted 510 connector. The kit is designed to work with the clearomizer provided, but you can replace that with other components, like an atomizer that’s up to 25 mm in diameter. If you do, we recommend using the single coil as the box can only deliver up to 50 W.

On the underside of the box is a USB-C port for fast recharging of the box and its built-in 2400 mAh battery. The overall level of finish is flawless. Nothing sticks out and there are no sharp edges – it’s just perfect! The box feels quite heavy but the solid materials guarantee durable build quality.

On the edge of the box there’s a monochrome screen, the fire button and a dial to change the settings. Knurling around the fire button adds to the overall design of the box. The finish is totally flawless. Whether you press it with your thumb or index finger, the fire button is easily to activate and doesn’t make any annoying noises.

This style of dial to change the settings is quite unusual on current boxes, but it feels particularly nice to use and very accurate. You can forget about the usual “+” and “-” buttons – just turn the dial left or right to adjust the power. It’s so much easier to use day-to-day that you’ll get used to it in no time. You hear a little click each time you raise or lower the wattage.

It’s really easy to adjust the settings on the Vaptio Procare kit. There are no complicated menus or other settings for curves or temperature control, just a variable wattage menu where you set the power – nothing more and nothing less. This kit is simple enough for beginners but will also suit more experienced vapers – that’s excellent news, and makes this kit easier get to grips with. It’s also ideal for converting tobacco cigarette smokers who may be put off by overly complicated kits. The display is bright and you can read key information at a glance. Another key feature is the sensor inside the box that tells you when the liquid in the clearomizer is running low. The box can detect when the tank is almost empty and goes into safe mode. And that means no dry hits, ever. During our tests, this system worked really well. It’s less useful when the coil needs changing, making it a good indicator of when you need to change the coil too.

The clearomizer has a fairly traditional appearance, but features bags of practical details that are great in everyday use. Its 4 ml capacity means you won’t have to refill it all the time. And like the box, the workmanship is impeccable. The machining, buttons and dials all fit together perfectly, so there’s no need to force anything into place.

You won’t get your hands dirty when you fill it or when you dismantle the clearomizer. You access the filling hole by turning the top section, right next to the drip tip. Use thin tips to fill it, or remove the mouthpiece if you’re using a bigger bottle. The sealing is brilliant so there are no nasty surprises, like when parts open unexpectedly. This is useful when you’re out and about or when the kit’s in your bag.

To adjust the air flow that cools the coil, just turn the ring on the base of the clearomizer. You can choose between a wide opening for direct vaping up to 35 W, or use a few holes for a much tighter vape that’s like MTL. You’d have to reduce the air intake massively if you want a restricted draw. The kit is better suited to a DL vape, where it comes into its own.

Another good thing is how easy it is change the coil. Just unscrew the base of the tank and slide the coil into its housing. So far, it’s all pretty standard stuff. But what’s new here is that you can fit a new coil even when there’s liquid in the tank – without it leaking. When you press the drip tip, this closes off the liquid intakes. Little tabs cover the lights on the clearomizer so you can take out the coil. This is convenient and makes the process very easy.

When it comes to vaping, the Procare kit really delivers. Flavours are well-rendered. The 0.4 ohm coil makes a powerful vapour. The battery charges quickly. This is the perfect kit if you want a tight vape too. You can buy a 1 ohm coil to use with the 0.4 ohm coil for a restricted DL vape.
